Facing the Past

Perhaps that may seam like an odd title, at least for those of you who know a bit about our Scottish past, but to me it just fits.

I have felt, daily, the pressure to update my blog more often and have felt the guilt that I have no excuse for having not done so. However, with that said this is my explanation for not keeping you all better updated...Grief!

We have been using the last four weeks to get settled the best that we can into a very uncertain and unsettled present and also to grieve the loss of Scotland. We thank the Lord for the time and the ministry He gave us in Scotland. The Lord gave us something we did not expect to receive, a dear family of believers and friends that He knit to our hearts with the deep love of Christ. Though it did not surprise us that the Lord would have it in His plan for us to come back to the U.S. it did surprise us just how much it would break our hearts to leave these dear friends. So grief we have been feeling and a great loss.

Today has been the first time I have been able to muster up the courage to look through these photos (so as to put them on the blog) through the tears welling up in my soul.

Here are a few photos of "some" of the people we miss so much. When you only have two weeks notice for an international move it's hard to get everything done and every one's photo!
