The Loss of Our Dear Family Dog, "Brock"

Today I found out that my dog of 10 and 1/2 years has had to be put down. His poor body was riddled with cancer. After surgery to have one of his kidneys removed which was almost entirely eaten by cancer his condition did not improve. My father and mother back in Houston Texas had the difficult decision to make--that the kindest thing to be done was to put him down so as to put an end to his suffering.
We will miss our dear "Brock" (he was a lab cross German shepherd). He was a wonderful family pet, a great friend, and a pretty good security alarm system:).
The above photo: Brock sleeping on his bed, in his last days he had an exposed sore on his back and he had to ware the collar.
The first photo: Our last goodbyes! My mother (Helen), Brock (dog), Dominic (sisters youngest son), and Father (Robert) in at the vets the day he was left to be put down by a friend of ours who is a vet (Don) and has done so much to help us and our dear Brock during this difficult time.
